Here's a sneak peek at Coen's first photoshoot! My mom and I collborated on this one..some shots I even took! Would never consider myself a photographer, she did all the settings and I clicked. I can't even remember to take the lense cap off half the time!!

Coen Thomas is here!!
Coen made his way into this world early Sunday morning at 5:21 a.m. after a full night of labor! Of course this little guy wasn't going to let US tell him when his birthday would be, as we were scheduled to induce Tuesday morning.
The beginning stages of labor happened while we were celebrating a birthday with some friends. I tried shrugging off the pain but as the short contractions got to 3 minutes apart it was time to make our way to the hospital!
We were quickly admitted once arriving, being it's been a weekend of thunderstorms - every room was occupied and the little lullabye chime that plays throughout the building when a new baby is born was chiming away!
The whole experience was different this time. Labor was six hours instead of tweleve, epidural came JUST in time then about 20 minutes of delivery and once more...life will never be the same!
Coen is just beautiful! His first photos remind us so much of Brody, he's slowly evolving into his own. He has big brother's ears, my dad's flat feet and musician fingers, daddy's nose, and a rockstar 'do' like his Uncle Gerard! The boys set eyes on eachother yesterday afternoon, Brody is ready to play with his new brother, he had fun pushing him through the hallway...with daddy carefully navigating.
Mommy and Daddy are doing great, and adjusting with little sleep. - We are amazed at the amount of love that has grown with these two new feet ♥

Latest Update
After our 37 week appt today our doctor informed us she'll be surprised if we aren't parents of two by the end of the weekend!
We are anciously awaiting through some sparatic contractions and discomfort. Can't believe we'll very soon have a new edition to the family to love and cherish!
Here are some photos from what I think may be my last outting with just Brody - we went to Sea World in the morning with one of our favorite little friends, Rylan - then a day at Nana's pool in the afternoon. It defintely was harder to do both activities but well worth the smile on my little bubba's face!

Nursery Progression
The nursery is ALMOST done... awaiting one piece of wall art and a piece of heaven to make it complete. This was my second go around at Coen's nursery...can't we already tell this little boy is a Gemini! The organic bedding is now in the crib in the guest room where Coen will nap while staying with us for a few months and Brody will sleep in Coen's nursery until I configure the guest room into his big boy BASEBALL room! -- Got all of that? ;)
Btw... many changes in the making... my sister and her beautiful family moved to Washington State! Tom accepted a job with a bible software company, the family (all of the family) is adjusting well. Their home is precious and the nearby lakes and parks are breathtaking from photos and we cannot wait to take the boys next spring for our first visit...if not sooner!
We have our house AND land on the market...it's been quite an experience having the house in showing condition with a toddler and being pregnant. We are ready for whatever adventure lies ahead-- as long as it's no more than 10 minutes away. We have fallen deeper in love with the little town of Helotes and hope to raise our children in the city of Corn ;)
We feel so blessed to expand our family in just a few weeks. Brody has seemed to grow up over night, he's ALL boy -- exploring, climbing and he's become quite the organizer seeing his mama nest all the time. He's captured our heart in more ways we could ever imagine. Every morning he kisses the baby in my belly then attempts to kiss the baby growing in his belly...daddy's baby is in his back, we just laugh!
Many of my closest friends have started their beautiful families within the last two years and it's been amazing to see them grow together, even more are expecting within the next year! Exciting times!!!
We are ready for naptime today to pack the hospital bag!
